Adelaide’s best kept secret, until now! Few may have been aware of the hidden bar behind the fireplace at Lindes Lane – but now the good people of this small bar have announced The Barlow Room to the world. Located in a laneway’s basement bar across from the Malls Balls and on the corner of Rundle Place, The Barlow Room celebrated it’s official opening in mid-2016 and features a 1920s speakeasy look that tips its hat to the days of prohibition – dark and a little rough around the edges, complete with an old German piano – all adding to its charm.

Everything about this old fashioned-inspired bar is pretty casual, from the vintage decor to the op shop furniture. Completing the 1920s experience, you can enjoy classic cocktails, cheese platters and little nibbles to pair for the perfect Friday night out. Have a favourite drink? The inventive boys behind the bar know their stuff and are quick to come up with an improvement to your usual. Oh, and in case you’re wondering about the name, The Barlow Room is located in the original Barlow Shoes building.
