Extremely popular within the Adelaide nightlife scene, Clever Little Tailor opened in April, 2013. One of the first bars in the new breed of Adelaide venues to open up around Adelaide following the passing of the small bar license, it is located in Peel Street between Currie and Hindley Streets. Developed by the crew from the Coffee Branch on Leigh Street, Clever Little Tailor is an Adelaide small bar that attracts a diverse range of customers, from the after-work crowd to those just wanting a quiet relaxed drink in a new but classic space. Licensed for up to 70 people, the space is small but the exposed stone walls and cleverly created spaces using different levels makes the area feel bigger. Featuring a large selection of quality and classic spirits (Belvedere vodka as standard) and some micro-brewery tap beer and wine, there is a strong focus on attention to detail and high end without the pretentiousness (however some lower priced bottles of bubbles would surely be appreciated). A quaint and charming spot, it is a hit with the 25+ crowds, with many who now call this once-derelict space a regular must-see.
