Launching in Adelaide in late-November, Fat Controller is a booming club and live music venue located in the very heart of the city’s nightlife scene. A basement spot opening with some of Australia’s best live bands, Fat Controller is underground in look and feel – think Alison Wonderland’s Warehouse Project. Concrete, steel and minimal lighting will add to the whole experience of seeing mostly Australian, independent artists you’ll often hear on Triple J or Unearthered. Headlining over the coming months, check out bands like Japanese Wallpaper, Boo Seeka and Big Scary.
The Fat Man is a popular spot for post-festival celebrations and concert after parties such as Groovin’ The Moo, Laneway and Rufus’ recent tour. Every now and then you can enjoy a Thursday night fest with the Cable Kids party, complete with guest DJ, plus some of the city’s biggest long weekend events and ‘Fresh Cut Fridays’ with haircuts at the venue.
