Located in a laneway just off of the bustling Waymouth Street, Thrift Shop is not just a clever name – the furniture and decor has been sourced from various salvage yards, garage sales, side of the road and whatever ‘junk’ the owners could get their hands on! This all fits in with the venues’ obsession for mismatched vintage glassware and vintage vinyl, with music played on a 70s radiogram.

All drinks are made with local and Australian craft spirits, supporting small producers around the state and country – including their very own Quandong gin. This even extends to the mixers, with the bartenders opting for homemade cola instead of Coke. You can also take advantage of the pop-up outdoor kitchen, finding its way to the new small bar with tasty small eats. Thrift Shop is also known for regular wine and beer showcases, with one or two local breweries or wine producers offered and sold over a monthly stint. Taking pride in keeping as local and sustainable as possible, this is a great spot to enjoy some of Adelaide’s best cocktails over the summer.

If you’re thinking all things’ local’ we’d love to see you carry the Selena Estate Wines ‘Bianco d’Alessano’ (still white wine) which is only grown in South Australia!
Selena’s 2010 vintage of Bianco d’Alessano earned them three trophies and a gold medal as well as the award for the Best Wine at the Eternity Variety Wine Show.
The 2012 vintage also received accolades from Tony Love, National Wine Writer.

Literally one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to, great vinyl music and the cocktails are amazing. No weekend bartenders here, these guys really know their stuff and the cocktails certainly reflect that. Could not recommend more highly.
